Backyard Birding
‘Backyard Birding’ is a 1600sf mural painted on an exterior masonry facade as well as custom cut-out aluminum composite panels affixed to the walls. My design was inspired by the colour and beauty of birds commonly found in the region. Ten larger-than-life birds appear to be perched or flying across the building facade, along a backdrop that juxtaposes floral and leaf forms with abstract geometry to add visual depth and rhythm to the architecture.
